Melissa McCarthy is returning to Stars Hollow as Sookie St. James after all, after much speculation and back-and-forth.

TVLine reported Thursday evening the TV-actress-turned-blockbuster-star will indeed participate in Netflix's forthcoming Gilmore Girls revival series, despite multiple recent claims suggesting otherwise.

Following reports of a reboot in February, McCarthy herself tweeted that "no one asked me or Sookie to come back," adding she wished the show "all the best!!”

As recently as this week, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told Entertainment Weekly if McCarthy had time to spare, she already "[knows] what the scene is. I’ll pre-light it for her. She can drive up, run in, shoot it, and run out. I can get her in and out in two hours.”

Citing sources with knowledge of Gilmore Girls' schedule, TVLine notes McCarthy is expected to shoot her appearance within a matter of days. The show is in production until May 10, with four 90-minute installments out later this year.
