Sony Music is expected to cut ties with Lukasz Gottwald (aka Dr. Luke), who has been fighting sexual abuse allegations from Kesha, thus bringing the record company into the brutal legal battle.

Citing two sources close to the matter, The Wrap on Wednesday afternoon reported Gottwald's five-year production contract with Sony, which ends early next year, will likely be dissolved through a mutual agreement to part ways, "to save face on both sides."

Because Gottwald has vehemently denied Kesha's accusations and "no court has convicted [him] ... there may not be any legal basis to terminate an agreement," a source told The Wrap. "It would have to be mutual.”

A rep for Sony declined to comment, while Gottwald's camp did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
