London Grammar, James Blake & Nick Cave Among U.K.'s Ivor Novello Winners

The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers & Authors named its 2014 winners of the Ivor Novello Awards, with some familiar names leaving London's Grosvenor House with trophies.

Tom Odell was named Songwriter of the Year, while London Grammar's single "Strong" was tapped as Best Song Musically and Lyrically. James Blake's "Retrograde"—off Variance's 2013 Album of the Year, Overgrown—was awarded Best Contemporary Song.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds trumped Arctic Monkeys for the Album Award with Push the Sky Away. Mumford & Sons received the International Achievement Award, as Nile Rodgers also received a Special International Award for his recent work.

Mike Rosenberg (aka Passenger) was awarded for Music Most Performed with "Let Her Go," while The Chemical Brothers were recognized for Outstanding Song Collection.

Ahead of a new album from Fleetwood Mac, newly returning member Christine McVie was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
