Lady Gaga and Lenny Kravitz are scheduled to perform at a special concert during next month's Democratic National Convention.

According to PhillyVoice.com, the event, called Camden Rising, will take place in the afternoon of July 28 in Camden, New Jersey, as a prelude to Hillary Clinton accepting the Democratic nomination later that evening in nearby Philadelphia, where the DNC will be held.

DJ Jazzy Jeff will also perform at the concert, which is being organized by George E. Norcross III, who is a member of the Democratic National Committee. Tickets will be available for delegates and invited guests, including elected officials, with some high-level names expected to attend.

The DNC has an advantage in this year's election as it comes the week after the Republican National Convention, allowing organizers a chance to respond or perhaps "trump" the GOP's celebration.

As we previously reported, a number of third-party organizations not directly aligned with the GOP are carefully planning a series of "charity" concerts during the RNC in Cleveland, with The Band Perry, Journey, Martina McBride and others scheduled to perform.

According to Variety, Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd are playing an event to raise funds for veterans organizations, also "not sanctioned" or associated with Donald Trump or the Republican party.
