Donald Glover has joined the cast of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Deadline first reported the actor-rapper has been added to the roster, which includes Tom Holland in the title role along with Michael Keaton as an unnamed villain, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as the female lead.

Details surrounding Glover's character are being kept under wraps, but production on the flick is set to begin at the end of this month.

News of Glover's involvement in Homecoming comes as his own music-centric comedy Atlanta is scheduled to premiere in August. He's also been said to be have a new album in the works.

Spider-Man is familiar territory for Glover, who was championed by fans in 2012 to star in The Amazing Spider-Man, although the role went to Andrew Garfield. He did, however, end up voicing the superhero for Disney XD’s animated series Ultimate Spider-Man.
