Pearl Jam earlier today launched a countdown on the band's website that ends next Monday (July 8) at 10 a.m. At that time, a special portion of the site will be "unlocked" to the public. While the countdown provides no further information, it is likely the band's new single, "Mind Your Manners," will either be made available immediately or soon afterward.
Not only is Pearl Jam performing a couple of one-off shows next month, but it appears the band plans to release a new single in a few weeks as well. The song, reportedly titled "Mind Your Manners," has been rumored for weeks, but Triple M Radio in Australia now claims to have recently heard the track, providing hope for the July 16 release date that's been floating around lately.
Triple M said on Wednesday: “We just heard the new Pearl Jam song ‘Mind Your Manners’ from the upcoming album and what a cracking three-minute beauty it is… You’ll wet your pants over this. Think ‘Spin the Black Circle.’ Short, sharp, hard and loud." They also suggest an October album release date is quite possible.
