It's official. After a highly publicized talent search, Saturday Night Live has selected five new—or somewhat new—faces for its upcoming 39th season.

As we previously reported, the newcomers will include comedians John Milhiser and Kyle Mooney, actress/comedian Noël Wells and Beck Bennett (the guy from AT&T's "It's Not Complicated" commercials with all those cute kids). All four are Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre vets.

Additionally, Mike O'Brien, who has written for the show for four seasons, is being promoted to a featured player.

Upright alumni have previously been reliable players for the long-running comedy sketch series: Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and current players Bobby Moynihan and Kate McKinnon all came from UCB. Meanwhile, Jason Sudeikis (like Fey) and "Weekend Update" anchor Seth Meyers moved in front of the camera after serving first as writers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, about two dozen individuals traveled to 30 Rock, hoping to fill the new openings. This year marks the most new players in a single season since 1995, when Will Ferrell made his debut.

The new featured players will make their debut on the season premiere, slated for Sept. 28, hosted by Fey with musical guest Arcade Fire.
