Big Boi Says Phantogram Project May Be Full Album

Big Boi says his forthcoming project with Phantogram may actually end up being a full album.

Phantogram's Sarah Barthel told Variance back in February that after past collaborations with the OutKast rapper, they planned to release an EP with him. “What we’re going to do with Big, we’re going to release an EP with him where it’ll be a collaboration of stuff," she said. "Because we’ve got more than just one song idea. It just gives us another really fun excuse to work with him for longer.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter during Coachella, Big Boi said the project, titled Big Grams, may ultimately become a full-length record, noting the extensive material already recorded. “We’ve got songs which were already recorded when we were working on my last record."

Big Boi is also working on a new solo album, which would likely release ahead of a Phantogram effort.
