Kenan Thompson confirmed in an interview published Monday on Marc Maron's WTF podcast that he's staying put on Saturday Night Live, as he plans to return this fall.

When asked by Maron about rumors last year that the current season would be his last, it sounds as if Thompson tries to say that he will do "one more," although he trails off in the conversation.

"People I guess thought they had some info and just threw that story out," Thompson recalled of TMZ's report of his exit. "And we denied it immediately, but the only thing people remember is [that someone said I was leaving].”

Next season, SNL's 41st, will mark Thompson's 13th on the show.
