After 1,000 musicians and fans in Italy rallied to perform Foo Fighters' song "Learn to Fly," the band has announced a Nov. 3 show in Cesena.

Foo-lovers in the Italian city raised 44,000 euros (or nearly $50,000) to pull off the stint back in July, hoping to convince the Dave Grohl-fronted outfit to play in their city.

"I’ll never forget that day that my phone was flooded with texts from friends [asking about the video]," Grohl said Thursday in a letter on the band's website. "I clicked the link and was absolutely blown away by what I saw. To see so many people put so much time, and effort, and love into making music moved me to tears. And the fact that it was a Foo Fighters song … well … it’s hard to put into words how humbled that made me feel. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life."

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Oct. 23) and details can be found here.
