Rising artist Jordan Tariff is closing out 2018 with a "Warning Shot."

He has released his simmering debut single, which is actually a preview of his upcoming debut full-length, expected to arrive in 2019. It finds the 22-year-old singer teaming up with producer Chase Duddy, formerly of XYLØ.

While it's clearly an introductory moment for Tariff, the song is also meant as a reminder to "face your fears and take responsibility for your own life, regardless of what the world throws at you."

Tariff, who has battled a rare lung disease and was previously told he might never play sports or sing again, added: "I don't like being told I can't do something, and I love proving people wrong. On days when my lungs give me a hard time, it pushes me further, because I don't want this to hold me back. Music is something that I love. I'm going to do it, no excuses."
