Marc E. Bassy has had a busy, whirlwind of a week.

The Bay area crooner over the weekend dropped his surprise, five-song Postmodern Depression EP, led by single "Love Her Too," a collaboration with G-Eazy. And on Monday night, he joined Fifth Harmony's Dinah Jane to perform her new solo single "Bottled Up" on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"Postmodern Depression is me battling with culture," says Bassy of his new project, which was released without advanced notice to fans. "It’s about trying to grow up in a scene that glorifies the opposite of what it is to be a wholesome individual. It’s about me always coming back to music and being forever saved by songwriting."

While the new EP may have arrived without warning, it showcases Bassy's vocal and songwriting prowess. And it comes as he's been in the studio working on his second album, which is expected to arrive next year.
