Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) has released his vital new record Negro Swan.

The 16-track project arrived Friday after having only been formally announced a month ago. It features contributions from the likes of Diddy, A$AP Rocky, Tei Shi, Steve Lacy, Janet Mock, Zuri Marley, Kelsey Lu and others.

According to Hynes, this new album is an "exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer/people of color." He goes on to say: "The underlying thread through each piece on the album is the idea of HOPE, and the lights we can try to turn on within ourselves with a hopefully positive outcome of helping others out of their darkness."

In addition to the music, Blood Orange will be touring this fall.
