After releasing his mesmerizing single "Break" last week, Chicago artist Jack Larsen has now released Push-Ups, his debut studio EP.

The crisp, six-track project arrived Friday via Chicago label Closed Sessions. And while it clocks in at a brisk 18 minutes, it's kind of perfect and definitely essential weekend listening.

Unabashedly bedroom pop, the new material is a coming-of-age story anchored in critical moments of Larsen's life as he faces college, a post-high school world and adulthood.

"[I know] the term bedroom artist is super overused these days," Larsen said on Twitter before the EP's release. "But me and [producer Chris Hatam] worked our asses off on Push-Ups in our rooms and, fuck, I'm just [really] proud it’s finally coming out."
