Jacob Banks has released a new version of his single "Unknown (To You)," this time remixed by Timbaland.

While the track maintains Banks' warm melody, it's layered with Timbaland's trademark beats, giving the song a bit of a glossy rework.

"I'm passionate about working with up and coming artists, the voices of our next generation, and Jacob is one of those voices for sure," Timbaland said of his decision to take on Banks' single. "He's an incredible talent, and I knew I had to work with him when I heard 'Unknown (To You).'"

For his part, Banks said, "Timbaland has been behind some of the greatest hits of my generation and has had a huge influence on where music is today. 'Unknown (To You)' is such a meaningful track to me and getting the chance to collaborate with Timbaland on this song was an absolute honor."

"Unknown (To You)" is the first single from Jacob Banks' upcoming debut album The Village, which is expected early next year. The remix comes as the singer is kicking off his first North American headlining tour next month.
