Sydney-based musician Daniel Ahern (aka Bus Vipers) has released a glossy new single "Fluid."

The fuzzy new track is from his upcoming debut EP, Federal Highway, which is out Sept. 8 on Future Classic. And it's quite the immersive experience, anchored by a fascinating hook while offering a ghostly look at love.

"'Fluid' is about the intoxication of young love, but also about the deep sea monsters that can lie beneath that experience,” Ahern said of the new song. "I have used soft, complex layering in this otherwise simple and hooky song. I hope this invokes a dual experience of young infatuation—exhilarating but also a cause for introspection if you find yourself with an incompatible lover or partner."
