As a short holiday week fades out of view, Marc E. Bassy has released the perfect new track for the weekend, "Plot Twist," a collaboration with fellow Californian KYLE.

"Plot twist, I never thought it would end up like this / I always thought it would only be one kiss," the Bay Area crooner confesses on the infectious chorus, adding: "One became a hundred / Oh, all of a sudden, I'm saying, 'I love you.'"

Although KYLE tosses in just one verse, it's a crux. "It was only one night, I was in and out / How the fuck I fall in love? How I fall in love," he wonders, as he humorously observes: "Yeah, she got inside / She built a brand new house in my mind / And damn, she already close with my moms / I couldn't even kick her out if I tried."

For the Ventura rapper, "Plot Twist" follows his own irresistible single "Nothing 2 Lose," while Bassy is following up last summer's Groovy People EP, which included his G-Eazy collaboration "You & Me."
