Following news earlier this month that his new album Innocence Lost is coming in January, Swedish singer Erik Hassle has released a mesmerizing yet heartbreaking new single "Missing You."

The new track is the latest preview of the album, which will include previously released tracks such as "No Words," "Pathetic" and "If Your Man Only Knew." As for "Missing You," it's a tale of loss produced by John Hill (JAY Z, MIA).

"It comes from a real story of losing somebody way too early," Hassle said of the song. "I sang it one-and-a-half times, because I broke down on the second take. The lyrics speak for themselves.”

As we previously mentioned, Innocence Lost features the likes of Vic Mensa and Tinashe, with production from Rihanna collaborator Daniel Ledinsky as well as SOHN, Gorgon City and Al Shux.

The album is out Jan. 27 on Record Company Ten/RCA Records, but "Missing You" can be heard below.
