Tinashe late Thursday night unexpectedly released a new project called Nightride.

Billed as somewhat of a companion—and appetizer—for her delayed album Joyride, the 15-track collection includes her recent tracks “Company,” “Ride Of Your Life" and “Party Favors."

"This is the beginning of the journey, one piece of the puzzle that makes me who I am both as an artist and a human," Tinashe said in a handwritten note to fans. She's also released an accompanying short film directed by Stephen Garnett.
