The O.C. this week marks its 10th anniversary. On August 5, 2003, Fox aired the pilot for what would become a television obsession for many. The nighttime soap brought to life likable characters and shocking plot lines, but it also played a key role in what has now become commonplace on TV: taste-making soundtracks.
In honor of the now-defunct show's benchmark, Myspace writer Luke Winkie has put together a compilation of the show's most memorable tracks, which include Franz Ferdinand, Damien Rice, EELS, Bob Seger, Death Cab for Cutie and more.
