Miley Cyrus continues shedding her Disney-perfect image with the release of another new single off her forthcoming Bangerz album.

Titled "Wrecking Ball," the intense new cut—which arrived early Sunday morning—is a collaboration with the masterful, pop hitmaker Łukasz Sebastian Gottwald (aka Dr. Luke). Like the album's lead single, "We Can't Stop," the song sounds like an instant hit, but for different reasons. Instead of a party jam, this one is heavier and more of a ballad.

Seen left is the artwork for Bangerz, which arrives Oct. 8. And despite new offerings from pop princesses Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, don't count out Cyrus. In fact, if she keeps it up, Bangerz could be in the running for hottest pure pop album of the year. Maybe?
