Saturday Night Live
is extending its December awards show slate with the likes of Chance the Rapper and Casey Affleck scheduled to appear this month.

NBC announced Friday that John Cena will debut as host on Dec. 10, with musical guest and rising country star Maren Morris also making her debut. The singer is a top contender for a Best New Artist nod at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Meanwhile, Affleck will be debuting as host on Dec. 17 (aka the Christmas episode) at a very timely moment in his career, with his new film Manchester by the Sea in the running for awards season, as it's currently generating increasing Oscar buzz.

The actor will be joined by musical guest Chance the Rapper, who will be making his second appearance in as many years, also with very strong odds of nabbing a handful of Grammy nominations, which will be announced on Dec. 6.

They join host Emma Stone and musical guest Shawn Mendes, who are set for this weekend's SNL episode. Both are also likely candidates for the Oscars and Grammys, respectively.
