British up-and-comer Mike Nelson, formerly known as RAINES, has returned under his new moniker BANNERS, with a brand new single "Shine a Light."

The Liverpool crooner first caught our attention back in March with his haunting debut single "Ghosts." But while that track was alluring in so many ways, this new cut is a pulsating gem that gives listeners a greater idea of the musician's massive potential, proving he's one to watch.

According to Nelson, the song is "about feeling lost at sea and desperately searching for a beacon of light. It's about waiting for that one big wave to finally pull you under while clinging on to that one last ray of hope. It's a song to the person in your life that offers salvation while the storm is raging around you."
