After days of teasing a new song, Sia has released her robust new single "Alive," the first preview of the singer-songwriter's next album, the followup to last year's hit 1000 Forms Of Fear.

As we previously mentioned, her new LP is titled This Is Acting because it consists of songs she was "writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking, 'This is something I would say.' It's more like play-acting."

Perhaps coincidentally, the track was written by Sia, Tobias Jesso, Jr. and Adele, and it was originally intended for the latter's own long-awaited new album. It was produced by Jesse Shatkin, who also co-wrote and co-produced “Chandelier.”

In an interview Thursday morning with Beats 1's Zane Lowe, Sia revealed her upcoming includes tracks originally intended for Beyoncé and Rihanna. She also confirmed she co-wrote a song on Adele's upcoming album and that she has been writing with FKA twigs.
