Utah outfit Sunsleeper on Tuesday released a standout new track called "Currents."

The new song was inspired by the warmth and nostalgia of '90s alt-rock, capturing the overwhelming feeling of wanting to break free.

“The song is about feeling stuck in a cycle that we have no ability to break," says singer Jeffery Mudgett. "Grappling with the fact that life is like currents, forever undulating from crests to troughs. Nothing is linear, especially not existence."
