As he prepares to hit the road next month, Alexander 23 is kicking off the weekend with new music.

On Friday, the singer shared his infectious new single "Crash," which reflects on a complicated relationship with an ex he misses while making clear he didn't like who they both became while they were together. "I miss you, but I don't miss us,” he declares on the chorus.

It's the latest from Alexander's upcoming debut album, which he's been working on with Olivia Rodrigo and Carly Rae Jepsen collaborator Dan Nigro.

“It’s as honest as I’ve ever been, both lyrically and sonically,” Alexander recently said of the forthcoming record. “I’ve poured everything I have into making this over the past year, and I hope people can find some answers they’ve been looking for in it.”

As we previously mentioned, Alexander 23 is up for a Grammy this weekend (and quite possibly a soon-to-be winner) thanks to his having co-produced Rodrigo's massive hit "good 4 u," off her debut album Sour, which is up for Album of the Year. Meanwhile, Rodrigo co-wrote Alexander's own song "Hate Me If It Helps," which arrived last month.

Beyond this Sunday's Grammy Awards, Alexander 23 is joining John Mayer's rescheduled U.S. tour before heading overseas to support Tate McRae's trek in the U.K. and Ireland.
