Now based in London, the singer/songwriter and producer has just dropped his zesty new single “Better!.” Written during the pandemic and separated from family and friends, the uplifting new track is an expression of love and longing and the desire to not waste any time, with the singer explaining, “Because the pandemic made for such great stimuli, I realised every songwriter was probably going to write about it in some way. So I promised myself I wouldn’t directly address it. Instead, I used it as a way to inform my perspective - especially on things I’d always taken for granted.”

Produced and mixed alongside Sam Swain and mastered by Randy Merrill, the track glistens with upbeat percussion and groove-laden bass guitar. Displaying Meeking’s eloquent flair for songwriting, “Better!” playfully narrates the undeniable connection between two friends, singing, “And I’ve been going crazy / Knowing we could mess it up / But I’ve been thinking lately / No way to escape it / Maybe we should start it up”.
