Out this week is a new song from emerging outfit Callinsick.
The left-pop artist (with a particularly great moniker) released his new song "Turn the Sun Out" on Friday, and we're hooked. With hazy vocals and a Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver-esque production, it's a warm, captivating offering, a preview of Callinsick's upcoming Holy Holy Holy EP, which is expected this spring.
According to the artist, it's “about the reluctance to leave the special little moments in our lives and the things you would do to preserve them indefinitely, like turning the sun out so you could exist forever in the space just before it rises and leads into another day."
He adds: "Most of our lives are spent remembering these imperceptible moments and they only grow more important and special as we move away from them through time, like a little flower we cultivate in our soul that never dies”
