Erez Potok-Holmes (aka Sally Boy) has been steadily dropping singles all year long. But it's all been leading up to the release of his newly released Lies I Tell Myself EP, which arrived Friday via Loud Robot/RCA Records.

It's the singer's sophomore EP, and as he opens up more about his personal struggles and battles with self-acceptance, there's a distinct confidence throughout the project, which is brimming with true, undeniable star power.

“Song is there for me to express what I cannot convey regularly," says Sally Boy. "When I write it takes a weight off my shoulder. I breathe a little easier. Song is also there to hold accountable the person I am to become. When I complete one and show it to the world it becomes a watchful gaze. A point in time, a constant reminder of who I am, who I was, where the ground floor is, and where it is to go."

He continues: "Lies I Tell Myself is the latest point in that story. This time, it reminds me to be honest with myself, to tell the truth despite the consequences. To be human, unapologetically. A step in the right direction, so no matter how lost I may get, at least I can see the footprints behind me.”
