Following the remix of his single “THREE PROFITS'' featuring MAJILLA, Afghan-Canadian artist Kresnt returns with his newest and lead single “valley of darkness” off his upcoming album, Ahmed. Throughout the track, Kresnt displays his versatility through unorthodox sounds with how as an artist and individual he exceeds boundaries and limitations.

“When it seems as if all your options have been exhausted just know there’s a whole world out there with opportunities," says Kresnt.

On “valley of darkness” he lyricizes about differentiating himself rather than be compared to others when he raps:

“I love the city but it's time to move out
Find a new route.
Its crowded
And no ones really about it
When they see something make waves
Man, they try and go drown it.”

Produced and engineered by ChristineTheProducer and Alvin Anthony, the sound of “valley of darkness” is unlike most of Kresnt’s previous tracks, as it incorporates pop elements complimented with an acoustic loop and trap drums. As for what to expect from Kresnt, his upcoming album, Ahmed, is inspired by the late Afghan popstar Ahmad Zahir, who died in 1979 and revolutionized pop and rock music in Afghanistan.
