There's something incredibly comforting about receiving an influx of new Sufjan Stevens music in the middle of such difficult times.

A week after he released his song "America," Stevens on Friday released the accompanying B-side "My Rajneesh." Like that 12-minute cut, this is another epic offering, clocking in at nearly 10 and a half minutes, with all the brilliance and familiarity of classic Sufjan dazzling throughout.

While "America" is the anchor of Stevens' upcoming album The Ascension, "My Rajneesh" will not appear on that record and is instead a standalone release. The song artwork is a portrait by Stephen Halker of Rajneesh, the cult leader of the Rajneesh movement.

As we previously mentioned, Stevens' new album The Ascension, which is out on Sept. 25, is described as an indictment of a world crumbling around us—and a roadmap out of here. According to Stevens, the foundations of the record are “a call for personal transformation and a refusal to play along with the systems around us."

A 12-inch vinyl of "America" and "My Rajneesh" will also be available on July 31.
