Emerging artist Ben Kessler is coming through with the new material during the quarantine. He just released his new single "Just Wanna Be Your Friend," which is a nod to his own struggles with relationships.

It's a brisk, shiny pop cut which he says he's been sitting on for a while. As with his previous material, he wrote and produced it himself. It follows his recent singles "Even When You're Home" and "Known Like This."

"I wrote 'Just Wanna Be Your Friend' about spending time with someone and fighting with the pressure of trying to change for that person," he says. "I always complicate relationships, and this track is a reminder that spending time with someone isn't so complicated. This tune is a reminder to get out of my own way."
