The Killers have been teasing a new album since late last year, but today the Brandon Flowers-led outfit shared the first single "Caution."

The blossoming new cut comes with news the band's new album Imploding the Mirage will be out on May 29 via Island Records. Recorded in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Park City, Utah, it's their first record they'll release since leaving their hometown of Vegas for the mountains of Utah.

Another big change this time around: The band is embracing collaborations, something they've always kept to minimum on their past records. The upcoming album will feature contributions from a wide range of friends, including Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood, The War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel Blake Mills and Lucius.

First up is Buckingham, who offers a guitar solo on the newly released track "Caution."

In addition to the new music, The Killers have also extended their huge arena tour, which kicks off this spring, adding a hefty list of North American shows to the schedule.

While the U.K. and European dates quickly when they were announced last fall, the North American dates go on sale on March 20. Each ticket purchased for a U.S. show will include a CD copy of the new album.

As their tour announcement comes in the middle of a global outbreak of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), the band took to social media to acknowledge the news and say they plan to continue with the trek, noting they're "paying close attention" to developments but they "trust that the coronavirus is expected to follow traditional flu season patterns."
