Emerging singer Jeffrey James is starting the new year strong with his new single "Downtown."

The Nashville-based artist shared the beaming new track on Friday, also confirming it's the first off his upcoming East London EP, which came about during a month-long songwriting trip in London. He worked with the likes of Geoff Swan (Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran), Jackson Dimiglio-Wood (Shawn Mendes) and Dan McDougal (Liam Gallagher).

With "Downtown," the Indiana-born singer showcases his rich vocals and offers an enticing preview of the upcoming EP, which was inspired by the peaks and valleys of a relationship.
