It seems like The Darcys might have another summer jam on their hands with their new single "Better Days."
The breezy new track arrived Thursday after "days" of teasing from the Toronto duo, made up of Wes Marskell and Jason Couse. It follows their 2018 summer-ready release "Just Here with My Friends," which they shared almost exactly a year ago.
"For us, ‘Better Days’ is about trusting that even in the darkest moments, better days lay ahead," says Couse of new song. "We want everyone to know that we’ve been there, that we all face moments of sadness, fear, regret and frustration, but these experiences allow us to grow. We hope this song encourages people to keep their heads up, to stay optimistic and to take care of themselves."
"Better Days" follows the Darcys' previous standout "Hurt," which they released in March, and it comes as they continue to prepare a full-length album, which is expected in the coming months.
