The show must go on for Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd), who brought the second leg of his "Starboy: Legend of the Fall" tour to Chicago on Thursday night.

Never mind recent headlines about his breakup with Selena Gomez, the singer took the stage at the United Center, racing through fan favorites and radio hits, including "Starboy," "Often," "The Morning," "Wicked Games" and "Earned It."

Later in the show, he charged across the needle-shaped share running through the middle of the arena, offering live renditions of some of his even more familiar cuts, such as "In the Night," "Can't Feel My Face," Daft Punk-assisted "I Feel It Coming" (sans the robots themselves) and, of course, encore "The Hills."

The show was actually the North American finale, as his only remaining dates now are later this month and throughout December in Australia and New Zealand.

Despite the looming end of his massive run of live shows this album cycle, Tesfaye suggested back in September he was working on new music. As the end of the U.S. dates neared, he also said he was "almost ready," leading fans to speculate he's already planning beyond the Australian shows.

In the meantime, see photos from his Chicago show below.
