Chance the Rapper on Sunday closed out the third and final day of Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago with a spiritual experience—literally.

The Chicago native was joined by gospel singer Kirk Franklin and a white-robed choir for an epic live rendition of the former's "Sunday Candy," his collaborative track with Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment.

Describing his opportunity to headline the 10th year of Pitchfork's fest in his own hometown as a "historic night for me," the MC also suggested it might be his "last show in Chicago for a while," adding: "I want to grow up."

After his performance, Chance called Franklin "one of the greatest of all time." He has previously referred to the singer as "one of my favorite—if not my favorite—artists." And if it does indeed mark the start of a new chapter in his career, it was quite a high note for such a transition.
