George Orwell's '1984' Book Sales Soar Following Reports of Surveillance by U.S. Government

President Obama during remarks last week referenced George Orwell's dystopian novel, 1984, while attempting to ease concerns about the U.S. government's reported phone surveillance. And it seems he wasn't the only one reminded of the book this past week, as sales of the title have skyrocketed in the days since the scandal topped headlines.

'Sex and the City' Creator Darren Star to Head 'Honest Toddler' Comedy Series

Darren Star, the man behind Sex and the City's successful launch on HBO (based on the books by Candace Bushnell) in 1998, is at it again. The producer-director is currently working on a new television series based on The Honest Toddler, the recently released book by Bunmi Laditan, which is based on the latter's hugely popular Twitter feed. Star will develop and executive produce the adaptation with Laditan and producers Clark Peterson and Dennis Erdman.

Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports Expected to Sign Kevin Durant

In what has to be just a brilliant piece of news this weekend, it appears Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports management firm is about to make another hefty addition to its roster, as multiple sources reported Friday that Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant is soon to sign with the rapper's newly formed agency.

J. Cole's 'Born Sinner' Tracklist Includes Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Miguel, TLC & More

Less then two weeks before the release of Born Sinner, J. Cole has unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated new set. While the standard edition will feature 16 tracks, the deluxe version will include an impressive five additional cuts. The tracks include Cole's hit single, “Power Trip,” featuring Miguel; "Forbidden Fruit," featuring Kendrick Lamar; and the newly released track “Crooked Smile,” featuring TLC.

Ben Rector to Release New Album 'The Walking In Between' on Aug. 20

Nashville-based musician Ben Rector announced on Tuesday the details behind his newest album, The Walking In Between, which will arrive on Aug. 20 via Aptly Named Recordings. The new record was partially self-produced with production by Jamie Kenney as well. New tracks will include "When I'm With You," "Ordinary Love," "Making Money" and "Sailboat," with more details to come.

Dan Harmon to Return For Final Season of 'Community'

Looks like it's actually happening! All the bittersweet elements are coming together for what appears to be Community's forthcoming final season. After weeks of rumors, it seems the show's creator and former executive producer, Dan Harmon, is returning after a roller coaster year.

'Healing in the Heartland' Gives NBC Ratings Win

While the fundraising results of Blake Shelton and NBC's efforts to raise funds for Oklahoma following the May 20 tornado remain to be seen, the overnight TV ratings show plenty of promise. According to Nielsen, Wednesday's Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert, which was organized in just a few days, topped viewership for the night with 8.6 million viewers on NBC. It was the network's highest-rated program in its time slot since November 7, 2012.
