Donald Glover will play Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie, Lucasfilm announced Friday afternoon.

The yet-untitled film, which will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, stars Alden Ehrenreich, who was previously cast as Han Solo. The iconic Lando role was originally played by Billy Dee Williams.

“We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us,” said Lord and Miller in a statement obtained by Variance. “These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations. Also, we’d like to publicly apologize to Donald for ruining Comic-Con for him forever.”

The news comes as Glover is having an incredible year. Reportedly a new father, the actor-musician recently debuted new music and is currently starring in his own FX series Atlanta, which received an early second season renewal after big premiere ratings.

The Han Solo film is expected to arrive in theaters in 2018.
