In support of this past summer's In Your Dreams EP, Los Angeles pop outfit machineheart has released a new set of visuals for their infectious opening track "Best Thing," premiering Monday exclusively on Variance.

The cinematic clip, which chronicles the "high highs and the low lows of love," arrives as the quintet recently finished a round of dates supporting Smallpools on tour. And they're currently in the running as one of Spotify's Emerge Artists, of which previous winners have included Variance favorites such as Jon Bellion, Sam Hunt and Bastille.

"Hindsight is 20/20," the band told us regarding the video for "Best Thing," explaining that the track was inspired by "that person who couldn't see what was right in front of them until it was too late. We wanted to show that strange fragility and volatility that everyone has felt at one point or another—that feeling that your whole world could slip right through your fingers at any moment. The high highs and the low lows of love can be so exhilarating yet completely devastating at the same time."

The In Your Dreams EP is out now via Columbia Records and the video for "Best Thing" can be seen below.
