As Olivia Rodrigo continues her newest chapter, the singer on Friday shared her new song "bad idea right?," the second single off her upcoming album Guts, which is out Sept. 8 via Geffen Records.

In this latest track, she can't let go of an ex, and against her better judgment, she finds herself being lured back. "Seeing you tonight is a bad idea, right?," she ponders in the lyrics, later confessing she "just tripped and fell into his bed."

“‘bad idea right?’ started with us making a joke song about me hooking up with an ex-boyfriend, but then we realized we were actually onto something,” says Rodrigo of the new song. “We were throwing the weirdest things at the wall — in one of choruses there’s a part that sounds like an instrument in the background, but it’s me gradually screaming louder and louder.”
