After returning with their Kelsea Ballerini collaboration "I Quit Drinking" earlier this month, it probably shouldn't come as much of a surprise that LANY has actually spent much of the past few months in the studio working on new music.

First up is their new song "dancing in the kitchen," which arrived right at midnight on Friday. The new single comes just months after the trio released their third album mama's boy, marking the shortest jump between records for the band, something which was likely the impact of releasing a brand new album in the middle of a global pandemic, unable to properly promote the record with a tour.

The trio, comprised of Paul Jason Klein, Les Priest and Jake Goss, confirmed earlier this week new music was coming, noting "dancing" is the first single from an untitled album. "It's gonna be a great year," they said on social media, adding: "Spent every second of the last 7 months with u in mind!!!"
