It’s been a busy month for We Are Scientists. Following the release of their Business Casual EP, the indie rock outfit has unveiled the video for their cover of Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away.”

The new visuals arrive as the band has also announced plans to embark on a North American tour next spring, around the same time as the band’s fourth full-length, which will be released on Dine Alone Records.

While Business Casual serves as an appetizer for the forthcoming album, bassist Chris Cain explained to Variance in a recent interview that vocalist Keith Murray had vocal issues during the recording of the record, which shook up the schedule a bit.

“We were all kind of really focusing on the album and definitely taking our time with it,” Cain explained. “But [Keith] had a throat thing that sort of popped up. It wasn’t debilitating, but while we were doing the vocal session, he got nervous and wasn’t super psyched with the results. You want the album to be perfect, of course. So we had to take some time to address that in the next couple of months. The good thing is that, historically, we’re not a band that rushes back into the studio because we really love touring and playing. We’re glad we’ve had plenty of time to do that.”

As for “Take My Breath Away,” Cain’s original choice was an Eric Clapton song. But as he recalls: “One thing we’ve learned and that allows us to have a career despite disagreements is having a unanimous decision on anything we do. And it’s hard, because we don’t agree that much actually. But it’s not a big deal, because neither one of us minds when the other person disagrees. You just keep looking for a way forward that both of us feels psyched about.”
