Katy Perry took a big step toward her next album on Friday with the release of her new single "Daisies."

The radiant new track arrived today, described as a "celebration of the resilience of the human spirit" and a reminder to "remain true to the course you’ve set for yourself, regardless of what others may think."

It comes with a video starring Perry herself in a field of daisies, baby bump in view, all shot by filmmaker Liza Voloshin, notably "from a safe social distance."

The new song is also accompanied by news that it's the latest single of Perry's upcoming fifth album, which doesn't yet have a title but now has a release date: Aug. 14. It's available for pre-order along with "Daisies" themed bundles.
