After teasing new music this week, HAIM has delivered.

The sister trio on Wednesday released their new single "Now I'm In It," a vibrant standout full of the colorful, bursting harmonies fans love from HAIM. But as they display in the accompanying video, the underlying inspiration for the song is far from bright and sunny, as the band lifts the veil on their struggles with depression.

According to Danielle Haim, all three of them have and continue to battle mental health issues and "not leaving the house type of shit." She adds: "For my sisters and I, there have been times in our lives where we have felt like we are stuck in a dark hole ... After being constantly on the go the past couple years, I didn’t wanna stop and deal with some shit ... We all know it’s important to talk about this stuff. This one poured out of us. Take care of yourself. Be nice to yourself. And thank the ones around you that help u everyday. Hope this helps anyone who is in it right now."

The new video, directed by HAIM's longtime collaborator Paul Thomas Anderson, comes as the trio has acknowledged they're working on additional new material, including another forthcoming song called "Hallelujah."
