The title is pretty self-explanatory, as the Boston native and musical jack of all trades showcases his multiple strength as an artist, offering a sort of Lauv-meets-Mac-Miller vibe, with a minimalist set of visuals serving as a reminder to keep good people close.
"I was in a place where I felt like I kept getting let down by other people so I wanted to make a video that showcased the people in my life that consistently do not let me down," says Androu of the motivation behind the new clip. "There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into making creative work, a lot of aspects of my friends' creative lives that people usually never see. I wanted to spotlight that drive, I wanted to visualize ambition, I wanted to document passion. The best way I could think to do that was to chase a carrot around Brooklyn while they did their thing."
"Great" is part of Androu's ambitious effort to release new music each Tuesday this year. He's dubbed the project A Building Year.
