Newcomer Kevian Kraemer just shared his new song "Sweater," and while the title might seem fitting for a December night by the fire, it's actually quite the perfect summer jam.

The 16-year-old artist based out of Asbury Park, New Jersey is premiering the lyric video for the newly released track on Variance today, and the visual only further adds to the contrast between the song's whimsical, sun-drenched melody and the lyrics reflective of someone realizing it's OK to move on to the next.

"I wrote 'Sweater' about a time when I started to realize that I wasn't someone's priority," says Kraemer. "Listening back to the song makes me appreciate how I was able to make something really fun and catchy from an experience that really wasn't so fun at the time. I hope this song helps someone snap out of being a second option so they can move on and be happier with themselves."
