After sharing his new single "Barcelona" last month, rising artist Jonah Kagen is delivering an early treat for the long weekend in the form of an acoustic version.

The brilliant, stripped down video is premiering today on Variance, offering an intimate, sun-drenched rendition of the emotional track. Fittingly, Kagen performs the acoustic performance with a beautiful European-influenced villa as the backdrop.

"This song is for anybody who’s had someone they care about move away," says Kagen of the song's inspiration. "For me it was Barcelona, but I know the idea of wishing someone hadn’t gone to that place and hoping they would just come back is something many people can understand. Maybe listening to 'Barcelona' will let you groove your pain away. Who knows. Give it a shot."

The new video follows a string of recent releases for the 22-year-old singer, who capped a month-long run earlier this year opening for U.K. standout Maisie Peters' U.S. tour. And this latest clip is sure to only further anticipation for more music.
