With SXSW's 30th annual event only days away, the Austin fest has confirmed two of the biggest keynote speakers in its history, with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama scheduled to speak.

The President's appearance will come on March 11 during the Interactive division of the festival. He will sit down with The Texas Tribune's editor-in-chief Evan Smith for a conversation about civic engagement in the 21st century.

The First Lady will open SXSW Music on March 16, speaking on behalf of her Let Girls Learn initiative, which seeks to help find access to education for more than 60 million girls who are not in school.

“I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate our event’s 30th year than to welcome both the President and First Lady to SXSW,” festival co-founder Roland Swenson said in a statement. “As each new generation comes up at SXSW they look for ways they can be of service, and it’s important to reflect and support that message. President and Mrs. Obama’s visit here will inspire attendees to that purpose.”

News of the Obamas' keynote addresses come as SXSW continues to add to its increasingly massive lineup as the festival marks 30 years.

SXSW begins March 11 and runs through the 20th in Austin.
