With less than two months until the start of this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, it appears likely a fall edition of the Indio, California, festival could soon follow.

According to The Desert Sun, Coachella promoter Goldenvoice and the city of Indio have been working together on a fall festival, with Mayor Glenn Miller believing such an event is now "imminent."

Goldenvoice in 2013 upped its agreement with Indio, keeping its two weekends of Coachella and country fest Stagecoach in tact until 2030, with an option to add as many as two more weekend events later in the calendar.

While Goldenvoice has not commented on the prospect of a fall event, Mayor Miller seemed optimistic, noting a new festival would bring a "different group into the community that wouldn’t be here in the summer heat, so it brings in money, business and jobs to the city ... It gives the city of Indio a new opportunity."

Coachella admission currently brings in upwards of $100 million annually and boosts Indio's economy by about $1.4 million.

This year's Coachella runs April 15-17 and 22-24.
